Disposable gloves promote hygiene and prevent contamination. They are used in the health sector, catering, beauty and other areas. In the medical sector, they serve as a protective barrier for the patient and the health care professional.

Latex gloves

Latex gloves are best known out of the 3 because of their strength and flexibility

They offer effective protection against chemicals and maintain high tactile sensitivity

The disadvantage is that they can cause allergic reactions.

Nitrile gloves

Nitrile gloves have many advantages.

They are resistant to chemicals and can therefore be used for tasks involving the handling of hazardous materials.

These allergen-free gloves are ideal for people with latex allergies.

Their durability allows them to resist puncture. However, when the gloves are punctured, they are completely destroyed.

Vinyl gloves

Vinyl gloves also have their advantages.

Their main advantage is that they are the most economical option

They are intended to be used for short periods of time without hazardous materials and for activities that do not require high tactile accuracy.

They are multi-purpose gloves suitable for general use

Like nitrile gloves, they prevent allergic reactions to latex

Hybrid gloves (vinyl / nitrile) (Synmax)

Hybrid gloves are made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and nitrile rubber. They combine the advantages of both materials

They are very elastic and have a high degree of tactile sensitivity. They are also durable and resistant

This combination allows these gloves to offer effective protection at a competitive price.

Difference between powdered and non-powdered gloves

Powdered gloves make it easier to put on gloves and reduce hand perspiration. The disadvantage is that the cornstarch powder can become airborne and cause a risk of contamination.

Powder-free gloves are beneficial for people who are allergic to the powder in the gloves.

Difference between sterile and non-sterile gloves

Sterile gloves are used when the bacteriological barrier must be maximised and optimum asepsis is required. The aim is to avoid contamination.

Non-sterile gloves are used in situations where the risk of contamination is lower. The aim is more to maintain good hygiene.
